These pictures are from the episode of Power Rangers in Space that Johnny was in, "Always a Chance".  Adam returned to help Carlos regain his confidence and focus after injuring a teammate.  When they were attacked, Adam used the broken Mastodon Power Coin to morph to save them both, at the possible cost of his life.  When Adam's powers failed, Carlos found the strength inside him to continue fighting and win the battle.
