Blue & Hige (Wolf's Rain) - We thought that they were a really cute couple when we watched the show, and we still do. However, we do not like the show and it was too depressing to work on their section. |
Calla & Cavin (Gummi Bears) - When we watched Gummi Bears when we were younger, we loved Calla and Cavin as a couple. They were probably one of the very first couples that we shipped in fact. They're very cute and more than likely would have ended up together in the future, but we have seen many more couples since them that had way more to keep us interested. |
Hiro & Lucia (Lunar: Eternal Blue) - Hiro and Lucia are incredibly dull and there really is no reason for them to have had a section for as long as they did. We don't care about them and never really did. |
Iphicles & Rena (Hercules) - These two were kind of cute, but we were desperate when we made them a section. We didn't watch enough shows back then and had to resort to people who were only in two episodes of a show. We don't even know how their relationship ended up because we stopped watching Hercules. |
Irvine & Selphie (Final Fantasy VII) - Look at the picture to the left... notice someone missing? Irvine and Selphie were never in one FMV sequence together. They had maybe 2 or 3 scenes together total throughout the entire game. That does not a couple make. They were cute, but not soulmate material at all. |
Jason & Lee (Ocean Girl) - Ahhh, Jason and Lee... memories. We were huge fans of Ocean Girl and this was our first experience with one of those nasty love triangles. When we made this section, we were of the opinion that two people were soulmates if they looked at each other (or so it seems looking at some of the couples in here). They almost kissed... |
Laguna & Raine (Final Fantasy VIII) - Had Final Fantasy VIII been about Laguna and Raine's storyline, we might have been justified in making them a section. Sadly, the scene to the left is really all they had. They were really adorable, but there was not enough to their relationship to keep us interested in the long run. |
Mia & Nash (Lunar) - We were really reaching for couples around the time that we made these two a section. We do not care about Mia and Nash, and thinking back, we don't think that we ever really did. Nash was a cool character, but Mia was incredibly boring... and so was their relationship if you could call it that. We think they ended up getting married though, so that's good. |
Ronfar & Mauri (Lunar) - These two may be the most boring couple in the world. Really, who cares about them at all? Ronfar was a cool character, but Mauri was incredibly boring... and we're repeating ourselves now (see above). |
Sam & Machiko (Quantum Leap) - First of all, Machiko did not know "Sam", she saw him as her real husband Charlie. Second of all, Sam does not really know or love Machiko, he just felt protective of her. We liked them because they were so cute together, but they had no future... or past... or relationship at all. We never thought they were soulmates, so they didn't really belong here in the first place. |
Snake & Meryl (Metal Gear Solid) - We thought these two were such a great couple when we played MGS1, but looking back they never would have worked out. Snake had too many issues and didn't seem to mind being alone. We just don't see him as boyfriend or husband material at all... ever. |
Squall & Rinoa (Final Fantasy VIII) - This is one relationship that was doomed for failure from the beginning. We didn't even like them together when we played the game, so we don't know how they ended up getting a section. |
Steiner & Beatrix (Final Fantasy IX) - Here is a couple that is really very cute. No really, they're adorable, look at their picture. She's the cool strong girl and he's the goofy bumbling guy; there aren't enough pairs like that. There's a problem when you can only get 4 pictures total of them from the game though, and they're all from the same FMV sequence. They had that cute scene with the letter, but there wasn't enough substance to their relationship to warrant a section. |
Xena & Marcus (Xena: Warrior Princess) - After we shipped Xena and Hercules, we thought that Xena and Marcus were really good together. We were fans of them until we saw the later seasons and discovered the chemistry between Ares and Xena. |
Zidane & Garnet (Final Fantasy IX) - While they may have technically had the best developed love story in a Final Fantasy game that we've played, Zidane and Garnet are kind of boring to us now. |
Gabrielle & Perdicus (Xena: Warrior Princess) - We liked Gabrielle and Perdicus together when we were younger, but looking back on it now, there wasn't much between them. They were only together for two episodes and their story was not very well developed. |
Manny & Sheila (Ready or Not) - Manny and Sheila were really cute on Ready or Not, but compared to the couples we ship now, they did not have enough airtime to justify a section. |
Quinn & Wade (Sliders) - Quinn and Wade could have potentially been a really cute couple, but inconsistant writing and actors leaving the show made it hard to continue to ship them as a couple (or even watch the show for that matter). |
John & Beth (Dragon World) - John and Beth technically had their entire relationship play out on screen in the movie, but that was also the problem for this couple. They were a cute couple, but everything was wrapped up so nicely in the movie that there wasn't anything left to speculate on afterwards. |
Kermit & Piggy (The Muppets) - We love Kermit and Piggy, but there really isn't enough substance to their relationship or Muppet movies anymore to ship a couple from them. |
Naoe & Takaya (Mirage of Blaze) - The reason this couple was originally in here was because it was one of the very first yaoi couples that we had seen. We have since seen much better shows and couples, so there was no longer any reason to keep these two in here. |
