The A-Team was a show that was on for five seasons in the early 80's.  It was a really good show and is quite unique in that it never went bad.  Most shows go downhill around season 2, but this one had five good seasons and there wasn't much reason to end it judging by the quality of the show.

What was The A-Team about?

The A-Team was about a group of four men on the run from the military (though Murdock wasn't technically on the run with the others).  They were accused of robbing the bank of Hanoi during the Vietnam War - which they did, under orders - and then became military fugitives after they escaped from a maximum security prison in the states.  Their commanding officer was killed after he gave them the orders to rob the bank though, so no one knows the truth but the team.  Though on the run, the A-Team hired themselves out to anyone in need of protection while always staying one step ahead of the military police.

What was the best part about the show?

The best part was definitely the relationships between the four main characters.  Hannibal, B.A., Face, and Murdock all had great chemistry together and were like a family.  The team was the only thing they could rely on in the world since they were on the run, and they were always there for each other.  They may have argued with each other and B.A. growled at everyone, but it was never serious.  They knew that the bond that they created during the war and for the 12+ years after it would last forever and nothing would ever be able to break it.  The actors all did a great job selling the bond between the four characters.

What was the worst part about the show?

The worst part about the show was probably how similar a lot of the episodes were.  Most followed the same formula of being hired, having to duck past Lynch or Decker, getting into some sort of trouble, and then miraculously getting out of it and helping those who hired them.  Each episode was interesting in its own right, but the basic premise was the same for many.  I loved most of the episodes, but the best ones were those that broke the mold, which might be why I liked the fifth season so much.

Where did the show go wrong?

Many people would say that the show went wrong in the fifth season, but I disagree.  I don't think that the show went wrong at all.  A lot of the fifth season episodes are some of my favorites and (I may be in the minority here) I liked Frankie.  Stockwell, I could do without, but the rest of the show was quite enjoyable and I wish it had continued.  I didn't actually see any episodes until long after it was finished (the last episode aired a few years before I was born), so my opinions might have been different had I been watching "live" instead of out of order repeats.

What is our favorite/most memorable scene?

The entire sequence of Murdock tunneling his way out of the VA in "Judgement Day", the whole costume party part of "Judgement Day", When Murdock heard the shots of the firing squad in "Firing Line", pretty much all of "Members Only", Murdock and the song stuck in his head throughout "Cowboy George", the war rememberance scenes in "The Sound of Thunder", Face leaving in "Alive at Five", Face and Murdock's fight in "Family Reunion", the last scene in "The Grey Team", most of "Without Reservations", and too many more to list!

Who are our favorite characters and why?

My favorite characters are Face and Murdock.  Out of all of the team members, the two were the best of friends, and I think that they were the most well rounded and developed of the four as well.  BA and Hannibal had their moments, but throughout the series, both characters were pretty one note and didn't change that much.  Face and Murdock had so many awesome scenes together ranging from comedic to the most dramatic of the show, and Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz were great to watch together.  You could tell that the actors enjoyed playing off of one another in all of their scenes together, and they had great chemistry with one another.
