The very first episode of AoS throws you right into the action and adventure as it introduces most of the main characters and the main story arc of the first season.  Upon returning to his hometown, Sinbad found himself without a dinar to his name and was scheduled to be beheaded for attempting to steal some bread.  He is saved from his grim fate, however, when the Caliph needs him to rescue his future daughter in law from the hands of the evil sorcerer Turok.  Sinbad is given a ship and rounds up a crew, and then heads off to find his tutor Dim-Dim to help him on his journey.
