In this episode, Sinbad and crew were told of "The Singing Sword", a magic sword with which they could wish Dim-Dim back if they found it and brought it to the man that hired them.  He gave them a guide named Alana to show them the way to the Isle of Bliss, and Doubar became quite smitten with her.  Alana was a sorceress set on getting the sword and wish for herself though, and she was merely using the crew to get her to it.  She even threw Maeve overboard when she became suspicious of Alana's motives.  The crew found Maeve, but by that time Alana had left the ship and got a large head start to the sword.  Doubar got bit by a venomous snake on their way after Alana, and once Sinbad got the sword, he used the wish to make his brother well again.
