TV Shows | Sliders | Characters | Pictures | Episodes

Sliders was a show that was one of our favorites a few years ago.  It was a pretty good show in the beginning, actually it was really good, but as the series went on it became really bad.  However, the early seasons are still very fun to watch and we still count it as one of our favorites.

What was Sliders about?

Sliders was about a young man named Quinn Mallory who discovered a way to travel to alternate dimensions, but due to a mistake he and his friends found themselves unable to return home.  They were stuck "sliding" through parallel dimensions in a constant search for their home dimension.  While on the other worlds, they would try and help the people that lived in each, while never forgetting their ultimate goal.  The show lasted for several seasons, and unfortunately the only original slider to make it that far was Remmy.  (The rest were all lost in one way or another over the course of the series).

What was the best part about the show?

The friendship between Quinn, Wade, Remmy, and Arturo, and how they all looked out for one another.  They all became such a cute little family and were all best friends.  They may not have known each other that well in the beginning, but they grew incredible bonds to one another throughout the show.  It was such a cute show until Arturo was killed off and Maggie came into the picture, where everything then changed.

What was the worst part about the show?

Every plot was pretty redundant, either someone got kidnapped or they met up with their famous doubles in every dimension.  They also lost the timer quite a lot and someone usually debated as to whether they should stay on a certain world or continue sliding.  The storylines were also pretty predictable in most cases.

Where did the show go wrong?

When Arturo was killed and the Kromaggs came.  (Basically the middle of the third season.)  Then, as if it wasn't bad enough, all of the original cast members except for Remmy left the show, and new very annoying characters were added.  The show was about Quinn, Wade, Arturo, and Remmy trying to find their way home, not Remmy, Maggie, Diana, and Mallory going around dimensions for no apparent reason.
